The Moon is in synchronous rotation with Earth, always
showing the same face with its near side marked by dark volcanic maria that
fill between the bright ancient crustal highlands and the prominent impact
craters. It is the most luminous object in the sky after the Sun. Although it
appears a very bright white, its surface is actually dark, with a reflectance
just slightly higher than that of worn asphalt. Its prominence in the sky and
its regular cycle of phases. Source
a tree is a perennial plant with an elongated stem, or trunk, supporting branches and leaves in most species. In some usages, the definition of a tree may be narrower, including only woody plants. Trees play a significant role in reducing erosion and moderating the climate. They remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store large quantities of carbon in their tissues. Trees and forests provide a habitat for many species of animals and plants. Tropical rainforests are one of the most biodiverse habitats in the world. Source
The Moon illusion is an optical illusion in which the Moon appears larger near the horizon than it does while higher up in the sky. This optical illusion also occurs with the Sun and star constellations. It has been known since ancient times and recorded by various cultures. The explanation of this illusion is still debated. This is not true: although the atmosphere does change the perceived color of the Moon, it does not magnify or enlarge it. In fact, the Moon appears about 1.5% smaller when it is near the horizon than when it is high in the sky. Source
The Moon is the Earth's only natural satellite. Although not the largest natural
satellite in the Solar System, it is, among the satellites of major planets. The
Moon is thought to have formed nearly 4.5 billion years ago, not long after
Earth. Although there have been several hypotheses for its origin in the past,
the current most widely accepted explanation is that the Moon formed from the
debris left over after a giant impact between Earth and a Mars-sized body. Source

The Moon is the only celestial body other than Earth on which humans have currently set foot. The Soviet Union's Luna programme was the first to reach the Moon with unmanned spacecraft in 1959. A transit of Mercury across the Sun as seen from Venus takes place when the planet Mercury passes directly between the Sun and Venus, obscuring a small part of the Sun's disc for an observer on Venus. During a transit, Mercury can be seen from Venus as a small black disc moving across the face of the Sun. A central transit may last up over 8 hours, although presently transits' durations rarely exceed 7 hours. There was no overlap among the three transits, however. Source
